Anna class went great. We met at a very large house opposite our campus which belonged to one of the professors. We will meet from 7-10 ever Monday. First hour we will read each others papers then discuss them for two hours. By the way, one of the professors wife's is catholic. Anna I have a problem. As a tough guy I am almost afraid to use the word love. But from Jack telling the nurse to stop calling me dirsty, to the priest and the pills, and his holding up my head to help me take the pill to Alice changing my sweaty clothes and washing my feet, to finding a church where I am not ashamed, the priest blessing me, to Emily saying I more than like you to you coming to my aid and Jack and Alice's aid when Jack could not help and a lot more. I have come to love ,see I can say it, others more than my own family. Is this sick? I love my actual parents but I love others more. Please give me a little advice. Frank
It's never sick to love. You have received a lot of love from all these people, especially Jack and Alice. It's only natural to love them back.
There's two kinds of love. There's the love that's a feeling that we feel for someone. Then there's the love that we show someone by treating them right (regardless of how we feel towards them).
This second kind of love is more important in the long run than the first kind. As long as you are treating your parents right, and honoring and respecting them according to the fourth commandment, I think you should be ok. How you feel about someone, on the other hand, is only partly in your control; it's natural to feel the most love towards those who show you the most love, and there's no reason to be ashamed of that.
I like both of the essays that I saw at the top of your blog. You could use either one, I think. (Although I have to point out that unexeptable should be unacceptable. And the word you didn't finish might have been "exclamations", although "swear words" might fit too.)
As for where I get my ideas, there's too many places to name. From my dad, who got a degree in theology, from reading a lot of religious and philosophy books, from reading a ton of stuff online, from talking to people. Reading the Bible is probably one of the best ways to pick up the most important things to know about life.
