It is popular today among some to make fun of the "logical positivists" and people like A.J. Ayer. But their ideas are still needed.
So a multiple choice question:
The following quote was written by whom?
"Without eternal life (for all sentient beings) whether anything exists or not is irrelevant. Things only exist because they do. There is no reason for existence."
Anselm
Aquinas
Wittgenstein
Hume
Hagger
Extra credit for anyone able to explain what the quote means.

I think it means that there is no reason for some blogs to exist. Some blogs are pointless, except for the praise they bring to the writer who thinks he's marvellous.
ReplyDeleteBut Revd. who is the aurhor??? Just identify by numer e.g, the first man, the second etc.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your response. The quote JUST HAS to be deep!!!!!
>>The quote JUST HAS to be deep!!!!!<<
ReplyDeleteJack! No body could fine tune God during eternity life on earth so why bother trying if only to have fun like Shakespear did on the stage of reality life.
I hear ya Jack! But virtual reality is so much more fun.
Well when I get to Spiritual Grade ONE, I might have a deeper spiritual reality answer for you but for the moment that's "IT" for now. Go Figure! :)
Peace
It is has to be Haggar. It is too profound to be the others.
ReplyDeleteRevd Ackeroff, You win the prize. I will purchase for you either the sermons of Donne or the collected sermons of Hagger, autographed by his neighborhood. Let me known which you would like.
ReplyDeleteWhat! No conciliation prize!?
ReplyDeleteI hear ya! None needed Victor! :)
Peace!
Father Soundingbrass's Platitude-of-the-Day for September 7th, if I'm not mistook. Poor guy's a former truck-driver, gone bad. Be kind and level your expectations accordingly.
ReplyDeleteVictor. your consolation prize is a free ticket to MP land, if only you pledge to say he is the second coming.
ReplyDeleteMike, who is this guy--MP. Why is he worshipped by so many?? Does he do miracles??? Any information will be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteSend me the sermons of Donne immediately. I'll be able to make sense of them.
