of course, i was being a bit facetious. so you think i should direct this to joe? brownback is 100 per cent pure on this issue. as a catholic it is an important question for the church. i wonder what they say, officiously. i will vote for obama. jack for hilary or edwards.
Hi Alice,
ReplyDeleteI like Obama too. I don't think conservatives like his stance on abortion at all though. And it is still early days.
yes, but i do like his stand. alice
ReplyDeleteHi Alice and John,
ReplyDeleteJohn, are you up and around? How are you feeling?
I haven't voted for a Democrat for President since 1980. As disappointed as I am that none of these Democratic candidates would back the Supreme Court's decision on the Partial Birth Abortion ban, I am tired of being held hostage by the Republicans on the abortion issue when I agree with them on nothing else, and the whole world is increasingly in dire peril. Having said that, I have no idea who I'm going to vote for yet, but it probably isn't going to be the Republican nominee.
Holding back the shadows from my hearth. I appreciate your concern.
ReplyDeleteIf you have a minute look at Joe's blog, where I posted on the difference between 'conservative' and 'populist'. The last two old style conservatives in U S were Robert Taft and Adlai Stevenson. Showing my age. John
Howdy John & Alice,
ReplyDeleteJust thought I'd drop by and say hello. Seems like you've been quiet on the blogosphere today!
All the Best, -B
Hi John & Alice,
ReplyDeleteYou should check out Ron Paul. He is pro life but totally liberty-friendly, voted against the war, has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
if only... Check out this link...

Hi John,
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear that all is (mostly) well with you. On your rec., I have begun Newman's Apologia (causing great stir in the Catholic family from whom I borrowed it.) It's certainly not the easiest reading in the world! :)
Pax!
